Bill Clinton Lauds Morocco’s King Commitment to Advancing Global Peace and Security

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton has commended Morocco’s commitment to promoting human rights and strengthening peace, security and stability in the world, hailing the longstanding and strong friendship ties existing between Morocco and the United States and between the royal family and the Clintons.

The 42nd President of the United States made the remarks Tuesday in Marrakesh during the 2023 Aviram Awards ceremony honoring young and promising entrepreneurs in the Middle East for their outstanding work to improve the lives of the world population through business, innovation, and technology.

Mr. Clinton also thanked King Mohammed VI for Morocco’s hosting the event, describing the Kingdom as a country with rich cultural heritage, an important bridge between continents and a fascinating melting pot of civilizations.

For his part, Ziv Aviram, the Founder & President of Aviram Foundation, said that: “it’s not a coincidence that we’ve chosen Morocco for the final event”.
“This is a great country that represents a blooming tech industry, inspired by local startups, that many of them, define their mission to improve lives in the region”, he underlined.

Hundreds of start-ups from the Middle East and North Africa vied for this year’s Aviram Award. First prize worth 500,000$, mentoring from Ziv Aviram, and media support from Forbes was awarded to Qd-Sol LTD for revolutionary quantum green hydrogen production technology.

The 2d prize (100,000$) went to CarbonBlue for its innovative solution removing carbon dioxide from the sea, while the 2rd prize (50,000$) was given to Deepecho for using Artificial Intelligence & Deep Learning to help radiologists in ultrasound video diagnosis.

The prizes will be used to improve the lives of millions of people in the MENA region and all around the world.
